News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $349 million ( $213.1 million in cash ) was not won and has now started to build up to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention !
In the draw last night , Saturday 18th February 2017 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 03-07-09-31-33 and the Powerball of 20 and thus the annuitised $349 million jackpot was not won.
No ticket holders won the first prize last night but nine lucky ticket holders , one from Louisiana , one from Maryland , one from New Jersey , one from New York , two from Pennsylvania , one from Rhode Island and two from Texas won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw.
The second prize ticket holders won $1 mllion each with the exception of the second prize ticket holder from Rhode Island and one second prize ticket holder from Pennsylvania and one from Texas who won $2 million each as they had selected the Powerplay option on their entry ticket (Powerplay multiplier for this level of prize payout is always two).
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $403 million ( $243.9 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 22nd February 2017.
