News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $70 million ( $47.5 million in cash ) was not won and has now started to build up again after the recent jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Saturday 1st October 2016 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 02-12-50-61-64 and the Powerball of 01 and thus the annuitised $70 million jackpot was not won.
No ticket holders won the first prize last night but one lucky ticket holder from Louisiana won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw and scooped a not too shabby $1 million in prize money.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $80 million ( $55.2 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 5th October 2016.
