News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $286 million ( $178 million in cash ) was not won and has now started to build up to a significant three figure amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Saturday 5th August 2017 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 11-21-28-33-45 and the Powerball of 11 and thus the annuitised $286 million jackpot was not won.
No ticket holders won the first prize in Saturday night’s Powerball draw but five lucky ticket holders , one from Illinois , one from Kansas , one from New York , one from Pennsylvania and one from Texas won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Illinois , New York and Pennsylvania won $1 million each with the second prize ticket holders from Kansas and Texas winning $2 million each as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball Lottery entry ticket.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $307 million ( $193.2 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 9th August 2017.
