News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s annuitised Powerball Jackpot of $178.3 million ( $81.2 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball Jackpot is now starting to build up once again following the recent massive Powerball Jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Saturday 17th January 2026 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 05-08-27-49-57 and the Powerball of 14 and thus the Powerball jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $193 million ( $87.9 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Monday 19th January 2026.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw however two ticket holders , one from California and one from South Carolina did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holder from South Carolina took home $2 million in prize money( ticket holder had the Powerplay option – capped at 2 at this level of prize payout) with the second prize ticket holder from California taking home $364,462 in prize money.
The Powerplay multiplier in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw was FOUR.
