News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s annuitised Powerball Jackpot of $861.2 million ( $388.8 million in cash) was not won and thus the Powerball Jackpot has now started to build up nicely again following the recent Powerball jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 27th August 2025 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 09-12-22-41-61 and the Powerball of 25 and thus the annuitised $861.2 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated annuitised $950 million ( $428.9 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 30th August 2025.
There were no first prize winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw however six ticket holders, one from Arizona , one from Mississippi . one from New York , one from Ohio and two from Virginia did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Arizona ,New York and one from Virginia took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holders from Mississippi , Ohio and one from Virginia taking home $2 million each n prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.( Powerplay multiplier capped at 2 at this level of prize payout)
The Powerplay multiplier in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw was FOUR.
