Blog readers will be aware after last week’s blog post that the Powerball game has now been drawn for the past few weeks and no punters have matched the five main numbers plus Powerball and therefore the Powerball jackpot is increasing draw by draw then it probably warrants some attention and due diligence.
So after discovering that no ticket holders matched the winning numbers of 18-25-36-48-50 with the PowerBall of 23 in Wednesday’s draw we were intrigued to see how much the estimated jackpot would be this Saturday – 20th September. The answer , an estimated $196 million ( $116.9 million in cash )- looks like this is surely worth a punt now that the numbers are getting serious !
In Wednesday’s draw six ticket holders , one from Arizona, one from California , one from Florida , one from Georgia , one from Kentucky and one from Missouri matched the five main numbers but did not match the PowerBall but still won a not too shabby $1 million ( x 2 for the Georgia winner who had the Powerplay option and only $458,550 for the winner from California who allocate funds in a different system to the other States) – so it looks like punters are getting close to winning the jackpot .
With such a large jackpot up for grabs the perplexing question for the Lotto Central team is whether to play the Powerball game on a single ticket or as part of a Lottery Syndicate. There is of course any easy answer to this perplexing question – do both !
