US Powerball Draw Review – Saturday 31st December 2022

US Powerball LogoNews reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $258.8 million ( $131.6 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball Jackpot has now started to build up nicely again following the recent Powerball jackpot win.

In the draw last night , Saturday 31st December 2022 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 18-37-44-50-64 and the Powerball of 11 and thus the annuitised $258.8 million jackpot was not won.

The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $265 million ( $134.7 million in cash)  in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Monday 2nd January 2023.

There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders , two from Florida and one from Pennsylvania did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw. The three second prize ticket holders had all selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket and thus took home $2 million each in prize money. ( Powerplay multiplier capped at 2 at this level of prize payout)

There were 975,925 winners in Saturday night’s US Powerball Draw with a total of $14,294,002 being paid out in prize money.

The Powerplay multiplier in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw was THREE.

Previous experience proves that the Powerball jackpot soon grows substantially after a couple of rollovers so keep an eye on the LottoCentral blog to keep track of the ever growing jackpot !
