News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $493.2 million ( $357.4 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball Jackpot has started to build up nicely once again to an amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 22nd September 2021 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 20-40-47-55-63 and the Powerball of 05 and thus the annuitised $493.2 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $523 million ( $379 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 25th September 2021.
There were no first prize ticket holders in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw however three ticket holders , one from Florida , one from Maryland and one from Pennsylvania did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Florida and Maryland took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from Pennsylvania taking home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.( Powerplay multiplier is set to a maximum of 2 at this prize payout level)
There were 996,448 winners in Wednesday night’s US Powerball Draw with a total of $12,307,366 being paid out in prize money.
