News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $1.5652 Billion ( $686.5 million in cash ) was not won and therefore the Powerball Jackpot has now built up to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Monday 9th October 2023 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 16-34-46-55-67 and the Powerball of 14 and thus the annuitised $1.5652 Billion jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $1.725 Billion ( $756.6 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 11th October 2023.
There were no first prize winners in Monday night’s Powerball Draw however five ticket holders , one from California, one from Florida, one from Indiana , one from Oregon and one from Virginia did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from Indiana , Oregon and Virginia took home $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from Florida taking home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.( Powerplay multiplier capped at 2 at this level of prize payout)
The second prize ticket holder from California took home $1,064,543 in prize money.
The Powerplay multiplier in Monday night’s Powerball Draw was THREE.
In Monday night’s Powerball draw there were 3,701.118 prize winners with $36,408,225 being paid out in prize money.
