News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $247 million ( $147.3 million in cash ) was won as one lucky ticket holder from New York matched the five main balls and the Powerball to scoop the Powerball Jackpot !.
In the draw last night , Saturday 11th August 2018 one lucky ticket holder matched the main ball numbers of 05-43-56-62-68 and the Powerball of 24 and thus the annuitised $247 million jackpot was won.
There was one first prize winner in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw but also two lucky ticket holders , one from Florida and one from Georgia won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw .
The second prize ticket holder from Georgia won $1 million with the second prize ticket holder from Florida winning $2 million as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore start off again an estimated $40 million ( $24.1 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 15th August 2018.
