News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $285 million ( $172.5 million in cash ) was not won and has now started to build up again after the recent jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Saturday 11th February 2017 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 05-09-17-37-64 and the Powerball of 02 and thus the annuitised $285 million jackpot was not won.
No ticket holders won the first prize last night but five lucky ticket holders , one from Missouri and four from Puerto Rico won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw.
The second prize ticket holder from Missouri won $1 million with the second prize ticket holders from Puerto Rico winning $2 million each as they had selected the Powerplay option on their entry tickets .( Clearly this blog post should be titled The Puerto Rican Powerplay Powerball Punt !)
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $310 million ( $189.3 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 15th February 2017.
