News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $274.8 million ( $145.8 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball Jackpot has now started to build up to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention!.
In the draw last night , Saturday 24th September 2022 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 03-09-21-24-29 and the Powerball of 14 and thus the annuitised $274.8 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated $285 million ( $151.2 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Monday 26th September 2022.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw however seven ticket holders, two from California , two from Indiana , one from Louisiana , one from Michigan and one from New Jersey did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holders from California took home $171,612 each in prize money , one of the second prize ticket holders from Indiana took home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket , with the other second prize ticket holder from Indiana and the second prize ticket holders from Louisiana , Michigan and New Jersey taking home $1 million each in prize money.
The Powerplay multiplier in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw was TWO.
There were 615,087 winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw with $13,968,579 being paid out in winnings.
