News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $557.3 million ( $269.5 million in cash) was not won and therefore has now started to build up nicely once again to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention !.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 13th September 2023 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 22-30-37-44-45 and the Powerball of 18 and thus the annuitised $557.3 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated annuitised $596 million ( $288.2 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 16th September 2023.
There were no first prize winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw however two ticket holders , one from Missouri and one from South Carolina did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holder from Missouri took home $1 million in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from South Carolina taking home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket. ( Powerplay multiplier capped at 2 at this level of prize payout).
The Powerplay multiplier in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw was THREE.
There were 885,860 winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw with $10,189,775 being paid out in prize money.
