News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $707.2 million ( $355.9 million in cash) was not won and therefore the jackpot has now started to build up nicely once again following the recent mammoth Powerball jackpot win.
In the draw last night , Wednesday 27th December 2023 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 04-11-38-51-68 and the Powerball of 05 and thus the annuitised $707.2 million jackpot was not won.
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore increase to an estimated annuitised $760 million ( $382.5 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 30th December 2023.
There were no first prize winners in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw however two ticket holders ,one from California and one from Texas did win a second prize by matching the five main white balls in the Powerball Draw.
The second prize ticket holder from California took home $451,011 in prize money.
The second prize ticket holder from Texas took home $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.( Powerplay multiplier capped at 2 at this level of prize payout).
The Powerplay multiplier in Wednesday night’s Powerball Draw was THREE.
