News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $253 million ( $148.4 million in cash ) was not won and thus the Powerball jackpot has started to climb to a significant amount worthy of Lottery enthusiast’s attention ! .
In the draw last night , Saturday 6th October 2018 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 01-22-27-53-67 and the Powerball of 15 and thus the annuitised $253 million jackpot was not won.
There were no first prize winners in Saturday night’s Powerball Draw but three lucky ticket holders , one from Florida , one from New York and one from Pennsylvania won a second prize by matching the five main balls in the Powerball draw .
The second prize ticket holders from Florida and New York won $1 million each in prize money with the second prize ticket holder from Pennsylvania winning $2 million in prize money as they had selected the Powerplay option on their Powerball entry ticket.( Powerplay is aways 2 at this level of prize money)
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will increase to an estimated $282 million ( $161.1 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Wednesday 10th October 2018.
