News reaches Lotto Central HQ this morning from our blog readers across the pond that last night’s Powerball Jackpot of $94 million ( $66 million in cash ) was not won and once again the Powerball jackpot begins to build up after the recent jackpot win .
In the draw last night , Wednesday 17th August 2016 no ticket holders matched the main ball numbers of 33-44-49-50-52 and the Powerball of 08 and thus the $94 million jackpot was not won.
It was a dull night in Powerballville last night as in Wednesday night’s Powerball draw no ticket holders won the first or second prize with the first payout coming at the third prize level where eight ticket holders matched four main balls and the Powerball.
Two of the eight third prize winners won $50,000 each with the remaining six third prize winners scooping $150,000 each as they had selected the Powerplay option on their entry tickets ( the Powerplay multiplier was three in last night’s draw thus 3 x $50,000 = $150,000)
The Powerball Lottery jackpot will therefore rollover to an estimated $110 million ( $77.2 million in cash) in the next Powerball Lottery Draw which will be drawn on Saturday 20th August 2016.
